I didn’t change my mind that Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), an Italian talent during the Renaissance, had lived a really unusual life until I watched the US TV series Da Vinci's Demons.
When hearing his stories about flying machines and mirror-image cursive for the first time, I was just a little child and was inspired by his impressive and unbelievable inventions, such as his page-encrypted and innovative journals and notes and his paintings. That was one of the reasons for me to start my art career. And no wonder I was attracted by the series Da Vinci's Demons. This historical fantasy series indeed have their own charm as long as we are willing to look at David .S.Goyer’s reinterpretations of history from a new perspective.
The storiesinDa Vinci's Demonshave been brought to the climax in Season 3, the ending season. Then we can find out what paintings of Da Vinci have been on the show to make all plots tightly connected.

Mona Lisa
In Season 2, Da Vinci's masterpiece Mona Lisaappeared when he was in great danger and had the illusions for suffering pains brought from poisonous snakebites and ayahuasca. The painting was stolen from Louvre in August 1911, which aroused a great attention on its position and influence on culture. In fact, people except artists knew little about it before then. However, owing to this stealing event, more than 500,000 people out of curiosity were attracted when it was exhibited in the National Gallery of Art in Washington in 1962. The series pointed out again the mystery of Mona Lisathrough suggesting its important rolein Da Vinci’s art career.

Vitruvian Man
At the beginning of Season 1, Da Vinci presented Vitruvian Man with both hands to persuadeVlad to accept human’s skills and signed the contract ofmilitary machinery manufacture. The attention to details in the series also made it more remarkable. In the real world, Da Vinci finished Vitruvian Man with his knowledge in proportions. Therefore, it is really a good example to relate scientific studies with art.

Self Portrait
Da Vinci, the leading role and the most knowledge person in the series, was played by Tom Riley. In order to perfectly shape an image of the greatest inventor and painter, especially for the scene of drawing with both hands at the same time, Tom Rileytook great efforts in practices. In Season 2, he got the chances to play old Da Vinci, whose appearance was almost the same with the image in Self Portrait, a painting finished when Da Vinci was in his sixties.
