Bai Xueshi’s Traditional Chinese Painting Landscape of Lijiang Was Sold for 1.12 Millions Hong Kong Dollars
Passed away in 2011, contemporary traditional Chinese painter Bai Xueshi was regarded as a master of contemporary landscape painting and an art educator who has many successful students. He enjoyed the fame “Guilin’s landscape was world famous while Bai school’s landscape painting are famous in Guilin”. Created in 1990, his work Landscape of Lijiang (85.5 x 225 cm) is a cross color paper painting. This work was sold for 1.12 Millions Hong Kong dollars (about 145 thousand US dollars) on May 31st, 2016 at Christie’s auctions.
