Born in 1948, Japanese contemporary photographer Sugimoto Hiroshi frequently goes between Tokyo and New York and he is famous at international photography circle. His 1996 work Baltic Sea employs black and white to cut the picture and exposed for a long time to display an abstractionist sea level. This work was sold for 266.5 thousand pounds at Christie’s auctions on May 20th, 2016.
