Short Review on Some Modern Photography Works
Paris Photo has always been one of the must fairs of photography lovers. As one of the biggest photography fair in the world, Paris Photo is an important international fair. You can both enjoy the masterpiece of some famous photographers and discover the promising ones. 
Photos of 2015 Paris Photo were on show from November 12th to 15th at the Grand Palais. There were hundreds of photo in the exhibition. The following is some of the photos for appreciation.  


The Time of Night and Fog created by Nigel Rolfe in 1999
Nigel Rolfe is an Irish artist who was born in 1950. He lives and works in Dublin now. He loves to perform postures which are full of aesthetic meaning through the interaction between his own body and the natural world. Over the 30 years, Nigel Rolfe enjoys a global fame by his careful performance of these postures.

Le visionnaire created by Gilbert Garcin in 2002
This French photographer was born in 1929 and spent most of his life as merchant in Marseille. He began his photographic career after his retirement. He takes himself and his wife as the main characters for most of his works. Made with scissor and glue, his works emphasize humor and simplicity.

Love Me or Kill Me created by Sarker Protick in 2015
Sarker Protick, who comes from Bengal, takes storytelling pictures using minimalist approach and the light and color of his works is gentle and thin. The picture is his 2015 work Love Me or Kill Me.

Dirt Swirl 77 created by Trent Parke in 2010
Trent Parke is an Australian photographer born in 1971 and grows up in Newcastle, New South Wales. He began to take photos with his mother’s Pentax and make photos in their laundry room, which he uses as a darkroom. The picture is his 2010 work Dirt swirl 77.

One of the Group of Conceptual Photography in Book of Taboo created by Maleonn in 2006
Maleonn is an artist born in Shanghai. He is good at expressing his inner thoughts and ideas through photograph. He dramatizes an absurd but beautiful world through the performance of the model, the making of the props the arrangement of the scenes. The picture is one of the works in his 2006 conceptual photography collection Book of Taboo.
