- Inspired by the Chinese Revolution in 1949.
Yi Deer (Chinese name 伊德尔, 1961 - ) was born in Beijing, China. Yi Deer projected many passionate emotions in his photographic works subconsciously, his approach to his projects is to immersing completely and quietly. Absorbing the surrounding objectively, and then using his imagery, the artist attempts to reach out and record the effect of the changing that is caused by the industrialization and Economic Reform in his country.
He confronted the aftermath of dominant perception of consumption that bestows upon the society head on in his work. His work is powerful, compelling, captivating and imaginative.
