Contemporary Traditional Chinese Painter Xu Lei’s Painting Yan Shan Was Sold for 2.92 Millions HKD at Christie’s
Born in 1963, contemporary traditional Chinese painter Xu Lei is now working at traditional Chinese painting academy in Jiangsu Province to create and study. His works across the span of ancient time and modern and the border of East and West, and is unique of his own style. Created in 2014, his Chinese ink painting on silk Yan Shan (160.5 x 98.5 cm) was sold for 2.92 Millions Hong Kong dollars (about 378 thousand US dollars) at Christie’s auctions on May 29th, 2016.
