Marc Chagall was a skilled painter in the Cubism movement, and created well-known works like ‘I and the Village’. The 1911 painting lacks the flair of his other paintings but does a great job in showing just how impressive his skill was for the era. The piece is perfectly coordinated, wonderfully imagined and has some odes to some of earlier Marc Chagall paintings from the same century. Looking a lot like a dream in motion, this is one painting that many will not want to miss if they are ever at an exhibit.
